Honest feedback will help us understand what young readers enjoy and help inspire future magical adventures.

Bring The Root & Branch Reading Club to your readers
We love working with schools, libraries and reading groups who help children discover the joy of reading.
Classes and groups taking part may be eligible for a complimentary virtual author visit which may include:
- A storytelling workshop
- A behind-the-scenes look at creating magical worlds
- Discussion around books, nature and imagination in line with curriculum or class projects
- A live Q&A with young readers
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is it really free?
Yes — Founding Membership and the ebook copy of The Songbird Army are completely free, with no catch.
How does my child receive the ebook?
We will email the ebook download link to the adult parent, carer, teacher or librarian who completed the registration.
How long do they have to read and send feedback?
Feedback should be submitted by Sunday 23 August 2026.
What happens to the feedback my child sends?
Reader feedback helps us understand what children enjoy and helps shape future books. We may also share short anonymous comments (such as "I loved the main character" or "I couldn't put it down") on our website or social media.
We will never publish children's names, ages, schools or any other personal information.
Will my child receive marketing emails?
No. We'll only email the parent or carer who registers, and only about The Root & Branch Reading Club, the ebook, feedback opportunities and occasional updates about future books. You can unsubscribe at any time.
What happens after the Founding Member period ends?
The Root & Branch Reading Club will continue to grow with every new book, but Founding Members will always be the first to know what's coming next.
